Hi everyone, I just came across this place the other day. I was so happy to stumble upon other Watership Down fans, it's amazing how hard we are to find I'm not sure why I called myself bumblebee. It seemed like a good idea at the time. You can call me Bee if you want (: I'm a 19 year old girl from Britain and I've loved Watership Down since my Gran bought me the book for Christmas when I was a kid. I actually tried to read it upside down when I was 12, after I finished reading it for the second time. It didn't go well at all, I wouldn't recommend it ;P I'm still working on convincing my friends to read it, "I don't want to read a book about silly rabbits" is their reasoning. They don't know what they're missing. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to include, so I'll end this here. I'm looking forward to reading through the topics and talking to you all though (:

Hello Bumblebee, and welcome.
It's always good to see a new fan come into the mix here. I too have a hard time convincing my friends to read the book. At the end of the day, it's their loss. But in reality I know I will be one of the very few people in my group of friends who will truly appreciate it. So I guess that's good to know.
Anyway, I have read the book, seen the movie and watched the TV series. This is a great place to discuss everything about WD!
Anyway, I wish you a very happy new year and a safe and prosperous 2013!
-B.

Aye, you're probably right about that to be honest. I remember lending it to one friend a few years ago and he gave it back after reading a few chapters because he thought it was silly. Ah well, to each their own I only actually recently watched the tv series, after seeing the Christmas episodes when I was younger. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. The book will always be my favourite, but do you prefer the series or the film? (: And thanks, you too!

Hey Bee, a big welcome to the forum Great to have another member on board. I did convince one of my friends to read the book and she actually loved it, though I can't imagine my other friends having the same opinion.

Thanks and that's good, atleast you have someone to discuss it with in real life too. Actually, I finally convinced my sister the other day to read it. Fingers crossed that she enjoys it so I can bombard her with questions
