Oh wow I only just learnt about this now. I always wanted to visit too.. Does anyone know if this is still happening? I can't find any up-to-date news on the subject.

Last thing I read was that Richard Adams was really campaigning hard to try and stop the development. I truly hop (excuse the pun) he and his friends were successful in doing so. It would be such a shame to lose such a historic and beautiful place!

I actually did giggle at that pun I hope they were too, the last updates I've seen of it are from March. I assume if it had progressed either way, we'd hear of it, right? That's hopeful, at least.

I haven't been able to find any new news on this either. I'm assuming, the fact that we have heard nothing, means that it did not progress since good news is often less publicised than bad and since there was no further progress with the development, there was no further progress with the news.
