Good day to all of you!
I'm the newest member at this forum; dotzie.
The real name is Emma, I'm 19 years old and I live in Sweden! I found this forum yesterday through a link on deviantArt when I was browsing some beautiful fan art, and thus decided that I should join.
My interest in Watership Down started a couple of years ago when the movie was shown on TV. I was amazed at how well made it was (despite its age) and how the lives of wild rabbits appeared to be both peaceful and brutal at the same time. I remember that I also liked the distinguishing qualities in their personalities, and that they had rules and ranks of their own, like in any other society.
About a year later I got my hands on the book, which I read with much interest. I also managed to convince my friend (who is not in the least interested in rabbits) to read it, and she loved it! We had a lot of entertaining discussions about the storyline and all of the wonderful characters. I like pretty much all of them, but I think Bigwig, Kehaar and Hazel are my favourites.
I'm generally very fond of rabbits, and because of that I have 7 rabbits of my own. They're all different from each other in most aspects, like age, size and colour. (I'm thinking of presenting some, or all of them, on the Nuthanger forum, if that would be an interesting read to anyone.)
I'm sure I'll have a pleasant time here at this forum with all of you WD-fans, from what I've read there seems to be some very nice people here.
See you around!
