Here are my 2 beautiful bunnies at home... Bella (the female Velvet Rex): Buttons (the male Velvet Mini-Rex): ...and yes, they are the most spoilt bunnies on Frith's land! In fact, buttons is almost and tricksy as El Ahrairah himself! -B

Oh my gosh! They are absolutely adorable! So happy to see some house bunnies as well, they don't all get that privelage. Bella is really beautiful, and I think Buttons has such huge ears in comparison to his body size!! They are just too cute. Looks like you have some really privilaged bunnies there. Do they have any particular antics? Also, I was wondering, should we make seperate threads or post all pet bunny pics in the same thread? I don't want to hijack your thread though

Well, buttons is a bit of a thumper. He's very mischievous and ticksy, and always love to play chase and run away.
Where as Bella is much the opposite. She's very calm, and comes up to you when you're not paying enough attention to her, and pushes her head under your hands to get some pats. But she does thump and make some grunting noises if you ignore her for any length of time.
the only sad thing is they don't get along with each other and have to sleep them in separate hutches. Because Buttons like to run around and play tricks, it starts to irritate Bella, who will sometimes nip him on the butt. Eventually this leads to all-out fighting so we try and keep them separated.
Oh, and feel free to post your bunnies in this thread. The more the merrier really!

It's fantastic how they all have their own personalities, people often don't seem to think of rabbits that way, but they're very much as unique as any other pet. Bella sounds like a real sweetie. Hazel-rah used to thump occasionally, mostly for his breakfast Unfortunately, I don't own a rabbit anymore as my Hazel-rah passed away in Sep 2008 from myxo, which was devastating, because there is simply nothing I could have done to prevent it as the vaccination is banned here. Anyway, he was just over 4 years old. In hindsight, I wish I had called him Blackberry (as it suits more) but my friend was adament I had to call him Hazel-rah. He was an outside hutch rabbit, partly because we have cats, and partly because an indoor rabbit didn't sit well with my mum So he had his hutch outside, and several times a week I would take him out onto the lawn in a run that I would set up and he would run about, do little rabbit binkies, play in his tunnel etc. If it was raining, I would still take him out just to cuddle and brush him etc. He wasn't a fan of being picked up, but once you were holding him he was fine, he quite liked cuddling. When I first got him, he would hardly let me touch his toes or his belly, but I eventually conditioned him to that so that I could groon him and clip his nails. You couldn't call him over, but when I would lay on the grass and he was running around, he would often come over and put his paws on my stomach to see what I was up to and sniff at my face. He was inquisitive, but preffered to spend that time running around. These two pictures were taken when he was around a year old, but they're the only ones I have uploaded to photobucket. Need to find where I've got the others on my computer. It was before I started using a run on the lawn so he would just be out, but I never felt that safe doing it and I soon bought a run for him. I would love to own another rabbit, but because I travel a reasonable amount, it's simply not fair on them. I'm considering fostering rescues in the future though, as that's only temporary.

That so sad! I'm always so paranoid about Myxo and all of that. We get them immunised against Calicivirus every year, but you are right: there is no option to have them vaccinated again Myxo.
But you're right, they all have fantastic personalities, and it's often hard to convince friends and family about how amazing they are as pets. But everyone has come to terms with us and our rabbity ways! Our most recent gift was a rabbit shaped baking tray!
Hazel-Rah was surely adorable!

Yeah, it's so sad when it happens. He was vaccinated for Calici, but I guess there was always a chance it could happen with him being an outdoor rabbit, plus living in an area where wild rabbits are reasonably common. But nevermind. Haha yes, I tell my boyfriend that I have to own another rabbit at some point, and he just says 'you can have a rabbit if you really want' in such a way that I know he has no interest in them as a pet, but at least he doesn't have anything against them. He would just prefer to have cats and dogs and lizards etc. I want those too, but I need to have a rabbit as well That baking tray sounds really cool.
