Hi All,
First let me say what a great forum this is. I may only be the third member, but I am a huge fan of WD and just had to be a part of at least one community dedicated to this great work of Richard Adams!
Actually, Watership Down holds a special place in my heart because it was inside the front cover of the book that I proposed to my fiancé.
Anyway, I love the book, love the movie and am currently watching the TV series.
I look for forward to many discussions about WD or anything in general with this community, and fingers crossed we will grow and prosper.

Hello! Welcome to the forum! I can't tell you how happy I am to have another enthusiastic member, so I'm really pleased you took the time to join. That's a really sweet story of how you proposed inside the cover of the book! Quite unique I should think. You'll have to tell us what you think of the series, I've heard good and bad things Welcome again, hope you enjoy your stay. Tell your friends edit: I'm still having trouble with these smilies, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't

Thanks everyone.
So far I am really enjoying the TV series. It's definitely more watered down than the book was. But it also has its own charm. Very interesting to see how they pretty much re-arranged the order of events, but in comparison to the film they do go into much further detail. The best example of this is the visit to Cowslip's warren. In the film this was very brief, but in the series a whole episode is dedicated to that part of the book and even the stones in the wall are explained.
Other than that, I am happy to see that it has it's own flavour and interpretations of the series, and really enjoy my evenings where I hop into bed with a cup of tea and watch a couple of episodes before falling asleep. It's a good routine to have!

Well, you are starting to tempt me with the series, might watch an episode or two on youtube before I decide on that one.
